Three Tropical Villas. Isla Dorada, Cancun Lagoon. Mexico. Three Architecture projects of Mediterranean style Villas in the same Cancun developmentTwo Isla Murmullo Waterfront homes sit side by side, on the lagoon waterfront and facing west. First of all Murmullo Island is part of Isla Dorada in the Cancun Lagoon, a posh restricted part of Hotel zone. We did the Architecture of Villa Arcadia on two lots joined or a double lot for one client. Later on we did the Architecture of Villa Habana in a single lot for another client. The theme was the same “Classic Symmetry Architecture” as in Palladio however with a tropical and clean minimalist Arcchitecture style, for contemporary living. Both homes have Yacht piers, reason why these clients selected the Waterfront lots on the lagon rather than the open Ocean beach and of course the view on the lagoon side, and its Sunsets. A third larger home was designed in the same Architecture style and was started but not completed.
A 12,000ft2. (1,000m2) home. Two level home. 6 bedrooms, 6 bath, home theater. Two wing classic layout, with half moon 70’ diameter vanishing edge pool. Interior gardens, English sycamore cabinetry. The home has an eat in Gourmet kitchen, and wet bar. The pool is unique in that it is a half moon 70′ in diameter with a vanishing edge, and also has recessed spas.
8,000 ft2.in (720m2). Built in 4 levels. 4 Bedroom plus PH studio, 5-1/2 baths. Layout. One half underground, main, bedroom level and roof terrace. The idea was to extend the envelope, by disguising top and ground floor from street view. Half underground level contains cellars, service quarters, and mechanical systems. Top level is a full width studio with a full bath and a large terrace.
A few blocks away on a double lot we designed the Architecture for another 20,000 sf Villa. We actually started foundations. Unfortunately the client changed his mind and moved to another city. Architecture facade included.
